Southeastern Virginia Storm Chasers is an organization of weather-enthusiasts and storm chasers, coming together with the following common goals:

  • Helping educate the public about the dangers of severe weather, the importance of safety, and the basic understanding of forecasting 
  • Providing continuing education about storm safety and storm-spotting by hosting programs such as SKYWARN®
  • Volunteering alongside the National Weather Service to assist in alerting the public of about  threast of incoming inclement weather
  • Providing volunteer aid on the ground as well as financial relief to local victims of severe weather disasters with a charitible fund
